my grey bathroom

A7C4909A-14A0-481C-B0DA-5937866091AF.jpegA few images of a bathroom ( my own in fact!) which I designed … 10 years ago now. I’m really happy with how the large format  Futura Grigio tiles I chose have more than stood the test of time.

The V&A Monaco bath provides the centrepiece of the room and while the largest single expense it brings a little drama to the overall space. The wall hung toilet and sink were budget online purchases… I made the sink shelf myself from a piece of solid cedar painted in the now ubiquitous (it wasn’t then!) Farrow and Ball Downpipe. I can never understand why bathroom sink units are always so ridiculously expensive for what they actually are.. often for some awful cheap chipboard veneer finish???

The sink, shower and tap fixtures were all purchased on eBay at the time which brought things back on budget without compromising the design. If I was to update I might change the taps to some minimal matt black design like these.

That punchy black finish is sharp and edgy. I like it.
